hi

i just read about the EULA stuff that revmob will do to your game : http://sdk.revmobmobileadnetwork.com/unity.html#eula

EULA

From now on, RevMob MAY present our "End User Licence Agreement (EULA)" to every Android end user. It will be shown as a popup when the app first starts the session. The popup will show two buttons: "I agree" and "I don't agree".

If the user presses "I agree", the EULA will only be shown again when its version changes.

If he presses "I don't agree", the app will be closed. Then, the EULA will be presented again when the user opens the app, until the agreement.

i didnt really read this when i integrate their sdk in my game. is it true that their sdk will pop up Revmob EULA from start to every android user, and until they agree to it, the app will auto quit becoz of that?

i try to vision this if i was the game user, and i download a new game, a game certain not a tripple A title, if i was presented with stuff that i hav to agree to be4 i can try the game, i would certainly delete it for good.

i m a little concern about this, anyone here using revmob in your game? how does it go in term of the revenue?

most importantly, hav you seen this so call EULA pop up from Revmob?

I pulled RevMob from my apps after seeing this warning some time ago. They wouldn't be warning about it if weren't doing it.

IMO it hurts user engagement. It's hard enough getting downloads as it is without a page of legalese becoming a user's first impression of one of my apps.

Besides that, I don't understand why RevMob think they should have the power throw users out of my app if the user doesn't agree to their terms. It's their problem, not mine.

Earlier in the year up to about February, RevMob revenue was decent, but it declined rapidly towards the middle of the year. I don't know what it's like now.

Have you tried ChartBoost? They're a better option.

I installed it, saw a bunch of ads but didn't see any eula popup.

Now you've got a review [smile]

I didn't like the video interstitial by the way. There was no obvious option to quit it so I was stuck watching it after just one game.

Also, the first game I played, I managed to start without seeing the tutorial option, so I had no idea what I was doing. It might be better if tutorial starts automatically on the first play and has an option to exit.

The flashy, sparkly effects when you drag repeatedly are a nice touch.
