Hello, I have noticed that the last 2 days my applovin impressions dropped alot. I also use Chartboost in my game which means i know how many bootups I have each day. (I have priority to applovin. The chartboost impressions didn't increase when applovin dropped.)

One day with 400 bootups, i had 130 impressions.

Yesterday i had 200 bootups and only 25 impressions.

Does this regularly happen or did I change something in my code that caused this?

I didn't change the script that is responsible for ads that's why I'm concerned about this.

Hey Smems. Thanks for the post.
I also seen the same problem in our applovin account. I looked in to it and I think they have stopped serving some ads to our amazon games. Here's our amazon game called Pachinko Slots, you can see the impressions just stopped on March 10th:

I think the reason is because we never integrated the amazon applovin unity sdk. In our amazon games we just use the google applovin unity sdk. The reason is because we never managed to get the amazon sdk working, the ads just never appeared. It's so strange that applovin choose to use 2 sdk plugins for both google and amazon, it was a real pain. We tried with 2 developers to get it working.
So i think what i happening is applovin is stopping ads appearing in amazon games which use the google play sdk because the ads won't lead to any downloads because amazon users dont have the google play store installed on their kindle devices. This is just a guess though.

Has anyone else seen the same thing?
I wish applovin could just use 1 sdk for both google and amazon, I emailed them about this. So its time to get ad mediation added in our games [smile]

By the way, the drop in impressions only happened for some of our amazon games, not all of them. It's strange.

Hello. Thank you for replying. I hope that this is a problem on Applovin's part and they will fix it soon.

Just so you know,  i am using the google sdk and my app is only uploaded on google play.  So the problem might not be on the sdk but on Applovin general?

I really don't know what is happening. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Hmm, thats interesting. It could be a problem on their side yeah, or they've just decided to stop serving ads to some low performing app, ie low CTR (click through rate) or IR (install rate). I think drop them an email to see what the problem is. Or anyone from applovin sees this post then let us know here [smile]

For some reason on most of my Applovin apps the ads type option button under Manage
was set to OFF for every type (video, interstitial...)

I uploaded a new app today and as I was waiting to see the ads (couple hours) I went to see whats up and all the buttons were set to OFF. Had to manually set to ON to see any ads, and also edit all the other older apps to ON.

Now I see that for amazon sdk, the graphic interstitials are disabled. Looks like some video ad campaign was stopped on amazon by advertiser hence the low number of impressions.
I have enabled graphic interstitials now for amazon and playable ads for ios and google play.

Hoping that this will fix the issue of reducing impressions/fill rate.

Confirming here that I also see a drop starting 10th march

Hey all. I sent them an email and they said that because most of my users are located in Cyprus, there may be less advertising campaigns now than before for Cyprus.

I don't know what to do since I plan most of my users to be from Cyprus. :/

Turns out it was a problem with my script. I didn't change anything on it but for some reason it didn't show ads.

I used a new script and everything works fine.

Hey Crichton333. Thanks for the post about the 'manage' tab setting. I also seen on some of our games that the graphic ads and native ad were turned off. I manually set them to be 'on' again. Here's the results the next day for a couple of our games, impressions started to appear again:

Hey again guys. Just letting you know a quick way to update all app settings in applovin incase you have a lot of games like us:

1) Go to the manage tab and select 'all apps / games' at the top of the drop down list.

2) Click on 'manage defaults' on the right.

3) Choose the platform from the dropdown list:

4) Choose your defaults. 
I made sure 'graphical' and 'video interstitials' are turned on. I also choose to filter dating ads because google play can be very sensitive about those types of ads.
But I don't know about 'native' and 'playable' ads. Has anyone tested these before? Whats the difference between interstitial and native ads?

5) Make sure to click 'save' at the bottom of the page and also 'apply settings to all apps'.

6) Move on to the next platforms and repeat.

I almost remove Applovin in all of my games

Applovin was way lower than my AdMob Banner

Wow that's a high ratio for impressions to clicks GexMob.

Edit: Misread the bit about eCPM. Applovin seems to have very high click to impressions on both Martin's games and GexMob's. It's good eCPM if it's for banner ads IMO.

Nice, good idea to filter those dating ads for android. Playable ads are something like
those interactive videos on youtube where you can play a game. On mobile you can play
a little demo of a game in the ad window before you download it. Its the highest paying ad of them all so far.

@Gexmob - You're welcome [smile] Let me know how it goes on your side after the update. I also checked the change in our other applovin account and we're getting more impressions there too:

You can see yesterday (Monday) had much more impressions than the previous Monday.

@Grumpy - yeah applovin seems to have quite a good CTR (click through rate). I think because their ads appear to cover the entire screen and they also have animated ads (not video ads) which look like they are a game and so users are likely to click on these too.

@Crichton333 - That's interesting about the playable ads. I'll give these a try in one of our accounts and see if we get an increased ecpm. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
Yeah definitely keep the dating ads off, google play is so sensitive about this stuff :s

Ok, so I've just turned on Native and Playable ads for all our iOS games in applovin. I'm adding the impressions and ecpm screenshots below (iOS only) for tracking so we can see the next day impact. Today is March 22nd 2016.

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and I'm excited to start tracking my apps Applovin ads further. I have a couple of quick questions.

1. Is it entirely neccessary to always update the Applovin sdk into my app?

2. What ads work more effectively in the app? Like graphical, playable etc? Also what frequency cap are you putting on them? Or are you not putting a cap on them? Thanks guys

On my experience, the kind of ads that work better (graphical, playable etc) depend a lot on your kind of game. For example.. on casino games I ended turning off playable cause they were paying really low... graphical and video leave them always on and do tests with the others until you find the perfect mix for your app/game.
