Hey guys!

Do you have any problems with people offering you review exchanges on Facebook?(I get like at least 20 offers per day) I just found out that Google Play deleted most of them in my games.
Those rates and reviews aren't made on actual devices and aren't installed on android device. (Why does Google Play even allow those reviews?)
It's very hard to promote games on Facebook android communities(a lot of them are fake review exchange communities) nowadays, since people in comment post a screenshot of their fake review and want one back in return. Don't get me wrong...I am interested in review exchange.... in real ones.
Does anybody know how to avoid those reviews? My friend got his account suspended cause of fake reviews.(He got them cause he was promoting games on Facebook communities)

Most of those fake reviewers are from India and Middle East.

First they are spamming all over Facebook with review exchange offers and then they are wondering why their Google Play developer account was suspended... Fake reviews will hurt your app ranking and can get your account suspended. Exchange reviews just with people that will open your app at least once on their phone and won't delete it for a few days.

I don't know how does Google check for fake reviews. I assume that they are looking if app is actually installed on cellphone and if it was open. People that are writing a lot of reviews per day and don't even open apps.... are probably considered as fake reviewers. Buying reviews on sites like Fiverr is even worse idea.... I did that a year ago and those reviews got deleted in few weeks.(I didn't get any warning for it...maybe I was lucky)

Hm install4install.com is a exchange site where real users must open and review apps and say something about it good or bad, you should write your opinion not this fake all write the same shi... and all write the best about your apps....you get one point for opening the app one for review. I use it 6months now, i think its a good thing.

well most of those review are probably something like this(i know this site):

good app I like
Outstanding Absoloutly brilliant! 10/10
wowww....amazing app....So i can say its really awesome.
Nice and very interesting game.
Really fun Great download

True reviews will bring you new keywords and they won't be just few words long.
I always look reviews first when I am searching for a new game to play. If most of those reviews are a little bit strange... I don't download it. A lot of my friends do the same.
I think that the best option for us is to build better games. I always rate games that I like and since Google ranking algorithm evolved... we will soon be unable to make any money with crappy games with hundreds of 5 star reviews.

Roman, I'm having the same problem as you.
I got a crap load of fake reviews on my game when I asked for an honest review. Only one guy game a good review (honest) out of 30.

Ive noticed as well that I have more reviews that downloads, so definitely fake.

Theae Facebook groups are a waste of time.

I was even thinking about creating a closed Facebook group myself whwree of good people would be invited.

On Google Play you need to download a game in order to be able to rate it.

I don't think that Facebook is bad. We just need to find a way to stop those fake reviewers to rate our apps.

Even on the phone you can click download then rate it before the download has finished, and then cancel the download.

Let's leverage this forum then and ask review for review
There's a thread on that.
We just need to be organized and do it.

People offering fake reviews are getting sued in court by Amazon, so there you go.

Yes.
Nowadays,Google Play Store has already started to cut down the fake accounts and delete  those fake reviews from the apps. The result of which is not going to be very good if you are one of those app developers. As per the Google Play Store rules, they will decide whether to ban your app or to delete your publisher account forever, but that will depend on how much cheating you have done.

This means that fake reviews are  bad for your app. As you said that  reviews change is a nice to increase reviews and can ensure the quality of the reviews. However, this approach can be very slow to app developers.

Buy reviews from a reliable app promotion company can deal with this problem, which offer app reviews from real users and they will download your app and give you 4/5 star ratings and positive reviews. Also, ensure the reviews contain the keywords you want to optimize. In this way, your app will not be punished and it will get higher ratings and more popular.

"Buy reviews from a reliable app promotion company ..." <-This is pretty much the definition of fake reviews.

As far as I know, the "fake" reviews come also from what is called "incentivized downloads" Reward apps offer some payment in exchange for downloading and rating your app. Those, are being deleted too by Google since their last update in october 31st. The way Google discovers this "incentivized" traffic, has to do with the time the users have the app isntalled and how many times they open it. In this incentivized installs, what users do is to download & rate for getting a rewards, then immediatly delete it, or delete the app next day. Google just deletes this reviews & downloads, but in case you make this in a very "recurrent" way, thewn of course they're going to suspend the account
