I use Unity3d but i have found so many nice engines i want to share with you Maybe you want to try new engine . Personally i am fan of open source softwares i will share most open source game engines.

1.Godot Engine
This engine is really new i like this engine because of Godot Programming language its based on Python and i really find Python super easy and natural for me . People call it Unity clone but they give so much in 50 mb size 2d/3d editor , integrated ide . and i learn godot first and then unity . Unity is better but i find godot very useful it have less size of apk like 7mb
Github Page
https://github.com/okamstudio/godot

Website

Note : Godot engine is great engine okamstudios use this for very long time but i dont know we can integrated ads network in this or not so if you plan to use godot just search about integration.

2.Libgdx
Java based game engine for mostly used for ios and android its so much light weight apk genrated from libgdx can be so small .But i dont want to do hard work so never learn libgdx but nice and powerfull engine

3.Cocos2d
This is really powerfull engine and so many people use this its have C++ , javascript version so many popular games built on cocos2d but in my experience i find cocos2d not new bie friendly but many adnetworks support cocos2d

4.Kivy

Kivy - Open source Python library for rapid development of applications
that make use of innovative user interfaces, such as multi-touch apps.
Now we can use kivy for making games also but support is really poor but i want to share kivy because they use python and i love python and in kivy application development really straight forward

5.Emo framework
Guys have a look at emo framwork open source and maybe new i just found this game engine really light weight but new so Maybe you will not consider for serious work but Have a look at emo framwork

I will add more when i try new but i am using unity and Unity 5 features really beat all game engines and they have awsome support .
But try godot engine or libgdx or cocos2d  i have used godot engine really its amazing engine but they dont have nice tutorails like unity for learning

ENJOY CODING GUYS!

Nice list here [smile]
I was also coding some games in Andengine before.
http://www.andengine.org
Good engine for lightweight 2d games if you're familiar with java.
(And love to code everything from scratch, even loading sprites and textures to memory [biggrin])

But i must agree, Unity beats them all [smile]
