I didnt do any paid advertisement or anything so I'll just hope it gets found in searches. This was my first puzzle game and it though me a lot. For this game it had to have multiple levels so i decieded to have a scene for each level as a pose to one "game" and storing all the game variables in a file. I don't regret doing that since the scene method worked well. The only issue was my data for the level was stored in a inspector vairable and I was scared of messing that up.

I also worked up a quick program in microsoft visual C# in order to help visualize how the level was doing to be designed.

It was really useful for making the levels.

I originally started with thinking of making  3 packs of 30 levels but soon realized that was too much to handle so I made about half of that but plan on adding more levels and features if the game gets popular.

I'm really curious to see how a puzzle game will go because I know that the puzzle game category is a lot less crowed that the arcade or action category on google play but at the same time there are a lot less people looking for puzzle games. I also heard that the user retention of puzzle games is a lot higher since they are a lot more addictive and involve a lot more thinking that traditional arcade games.

If the game does well, Ill keep you guys updated with some stats [smile]

Thanks!

Hey Epic, how are you this week. I hope things are going well there.

Nice work on the puzzle game, it looks good. I also heard that retention for puzzle games is better. The experience is a lot more slower paced and so players can relax. Timed games like action games can lose the player very fast i think. Also it's great that you have levels in the game. From now on we're not doing any single level games anymore, they don't hold the player for long. With each new game we're trying to add levels + worlds if we can. So for example, world 1 will have 20 levels, world 2 will have 20 levels etc. And players need to pay the in-game currency to unlock world 2.
We did this in our new game YOU ESCAPE SOMETIMES 2. So far it seems to be working and the number of boot-ups is improving.

We've not done any specific puzzle style games yet so I'm interested to see how it goes. Keep us updated [smile]

Hi Martin,

I think getting a loyal player is really a lot better than 10 unloyal players. Players who play the game a lot, will see a lot of ads, which is a better revenue for us.

Also please move this to the developer diarys section, I posted it in the wrong part :S

Thanks
