Hey guys, here's the thing - when it comes to "what app should I make that will earn me more $$", answering this question is still more of an art-form- does anyone subscribe to the paid services of those sites? If so, what are your results/how useful are they for you?

Hey guys. Im curious about this as well. At the moment we're still trying a few genres to see which ones produce the best ARPU, and also the best downloads.

I try to look at trends. For example I made multiple Hover board apps and distributed them on GP and Amazon and they have gotten the most downloads and app I have ever made.

I try to make similar genre/types of games with different mechanics and then cross promote between these games. About 10-20% of my downloads come from players who've played my other games. This really helps with getting initial traction.

Grumpy, do you use Chartboost or other Ad network for cross promo or the old simple way with the icon of the new game in the old ones?

I just have an icon of the new games in the old ones. I feel like that feels less like an advert than using something like chartboost and so is more likely to be well received. I'm thinking about coding something server side, that will let me change which games I'm promoting on the fly rather than having to update it every time.

For people not using unity but using eclipse or Android studio (it's Java code for app and php for server), I can sell my cross promo system with nice animation of icons and can cross promote 4 other apps out of the box (can be easily enhanced to say 10 other apps) for 50 bucks.

Includes app code and server side. If interested then contact me via PM.
