Hey guys [smile]

I wonder how long a description should be to not get banned by google for keyword spam.

My app-description is always around 400-500 characters and i using words like "game" around 5 times.

I think im safe with that but could anyone tell me if i could go to like 1000 characters and still be save for getting banned for keywords spam ?

Also i got a second question in my mind: Google says in this policy that you can upload anything if you only write "for" between the words, does that mean i can use bannable stuff like "clothing app for Mario" or "painting pictures for clash of clans" ?

I think you can use all the space in the Description, I'm guessing that they have a character limitation at some point. Try not to repeat yourself to often, it terms of keywords "game" is like the most used keyword on appstores, so don't even think that will bring you tons of downloads for that specific keyword cause you will be disappointed.

Then, the title, i would not suggest using trademarks or copyrighted terms like clash of clans, candy crush or even candy as they have it under their intellectual property, Try avoiding "stealing" brands for downloads especially on Google Play who will not warn you twice. You may get your account banned.

Be more creative and if you still want to "steal" a little bit of a brand, try to make it not so obvious.

Cheers.

Thanks for the long reply i gonna think about that [smile]

I was looking at your playstore profile and you have apps like:
"Trivia for South Park"
"Trivia for Pokemon"
"Trivia for Spongebob"
"Trivia for Simpsons"

Did you never felt like you could get banned for using this brands in the name ? [redface]
Also the Icons are looking pretty like official apps. ^^ (espacially the spimpsons and pokemon)

I have official email from the IP department regarding the graphics and names used my apps.
I've had some issues but I've removed the apps they found infringing and solved the issues with the IP owner for the rest of them.

Also i have 2 or 3 warnings from Google Play now and I'm thinking to not develop apps for GP anymore, cause I don't wanna lose my account for candy money which GP brings.
I'm focusing more on iOS they at least have "customer support" and they're motivating their decision when they remove your app.

Cheers.

You you really want to get into business with game/apps development, i don't think 99$ annually fee should stop you. Cause if it does, it means it's not your place there.
Here are tens of developers who create great games and only earn enough in one year to pay the subscription fee and they don't give up.
99$ a year it's a small fee that filters the people who think they wanna be developers and the people who known they wanna or are developers.

My opinion [tongue]

authwobe you are totally right! 99$ is nothing if you think you can make games that somebody will play this 99$ is nothing on the App Store you can earn it in one day!

i dont say that 99$ are too mutch but i first wanna develop some games people really wanna play, games witch are smooth and have replay potential.

If i get to this point i will visit the iOS store for sure [thumb]

Google Play has become weirdly dead, Its said that it has a waaay bigger user base than the Apple App Store but I am getting like 100 times less downloads for the same game I have on both stores with the same keywords.
