Hey,

Any iOS developers out there should sign up to the Itunes Connect Analytics Beta. For ages I've been hoping Apple would do something like this - I've thought it's been crazy that we need to implement things like Flurry to work out what's going on in our apps, as surely Apple are best placed to give us analytics.

It's actually down for me at the moment (but hey it's a Beta) so I'm working from memory here, but it's got a lot of useful stats. The most important one for me is page views. From what I understand this is where the user has arrived at the app's main page.

If your app has low page views, it's probably because of poor ASO, icon, name, rating or first screen shot.

However if your app has high page views but low installs it's probably because of poor description, video, additional screen shots (or maybe things like app size or compatibility).

So one of my apps gets about 10 times the amount of page views that another has, but only converts 1 in 7 page views to an install, the other apps converts at 1 in 4. (This is from memory so might be a bit iffy - will edit when it's back up)

It gives you a much better idea of where you should focus on improving your app.

When it's back up I'm going to have a much deeper look into it. Any one else checked it out? Apple sent me an email about it, I think you need to sign up before you get access.

Thanks,
Grumpy

Much of the info is from Sales but the new stat is page views. Funny how they stress that no sdk is needed to add to our app and the only new piece of info has nothing to do with the actual ipa file but with the store page opening lol. Hope they put some more stuff on there.

I checked it out.
Its still beta, and have to sign up for an early access grant.
When ever they fancy granting it to me, is another question. [frown]

Some Insight right now. The Games contain 1 In-App to removed ads, iAd Banners and Chartboost interstitial video ads and pop ups.

itunes Analytics

Chartboost measured Performance is decreasing as I guess the App's hype is over.Screen Shot 2015-05-16 at 17.19.09.png

Money earned even more because the eCPM decreased dramaticaly together with lower impressions. Im right now close to my all time low excluding the early start month. ( I do not have applovin as an option as its not supported by my engine)Screen Shot 2015-05-16 at 17.20.03.png

I am mostly wonder if I should be more aggressive with the ads. Right now I show the first Chartboost ad after 140 seconds and after that every 100 seconds.

What you guys think?
