I dont even know how to start this but thats it: ketchapp stolen my game that I developed.

I made a game, sent them invitations and emails over emails about my game and the posibility of publishing the game with them, never got a response related to the game, only stupid auto replies about folowing thier stupid steps (which I already did and told them) and now they're publishing a game called Eyes Cube which is a stupid f***ing copy which you can't even call it reskin because they f***king  allowed a bug to be there (in my game I solved that bug) and changed just a little bit of the gameplay and they also made the game in portrait mode (mine was landscape).

I f***ing hate and despite Ketchapp for that because they use stupid people like me and steal their ideas...

F*********CK

I hate this stupid industry!

I dont even have any more words for this...I'm f***ing angry as fuck...

I saw it. nice game. the only way now to get an advantage is to publish your game with the same keywords and almost a same title. so your game appears beside the stolen one. that way you might generate downloads. and your ranking will reach the top by the using their audience.

hey there , i just came across your post and .... sure they stole your work and it's horrible, however i believe you can see the whole situation from another angle .... this could actually be a good thing why ?
Yeah they took the idea and are making a clone you have the source code instead of complaining , i think you should if the game is not published yet wrap it up a fast as you can , target the same keyword they are using and push it to the store too , with a bit of chance you can drive away a part of the traffic they will get (ketchap gets a massive traffic so why not take advantage of that before clones start popping up all over the place ).
I by no means say what they are doing is right, but there's maybe an opportunity here to turn it around .... better to have a part of the pie than none .
that's just my 2 cents ..

Wow man, sorry to hear that! I know how things like that work. I mean, if there's any way we could protect intellectual property

Like that episode of Silicon Valley when the guys showcase their product to a company and the company just decides to make the product without them because they showed everything.

You need big money to defend a copyright, poor mans idea is a free for all.

if you have a source code... sell it... on Facebook, Twitter, Unity Asset Store etc. You will make more money that you would with ads.

Smrdis I don't know who the fck are you but if you are related to ketchapp then I kindly suggest you to fck off.

If you don't know the gameplay or any other details of a certain game/subject then keep your thoughts for yourself.

I am game developer and I have some good experience with Ketchapp. Rather than to steal my idea Ketchapp published my game and made money, hehe. I really love Ketchapp, they easy to work and have huge traffic. And I hate whiners like you. If you wanna protect your games against ideas stealing you should create ORIGINAL game mechanics, but not cheap clones of "Make Them Fall" or SHREDD.
Stop crying kid [wink]

Also if you're so smart and you're kissing ketchapp's asses all day long , how the fck isn't eyes cube(the game published by ketchapp)  a stupid ass clone of those games you mentioned?

Or maybe you are the so called developer who made this stupid clone/ rip off of my game called eyes cube since you have so good relations with them.

But just for curiosity let me know what's the name of the game you made and published by ketchapp and you have all my respect for that!

I  heard many stories of Ketchapp not answering at all after receiving a game. In their web they say they will answer in a week, but  it seems like in many cases they don't. They should answer even if they don't like the game. That's the first thing that makes them not trusty for me I guess.

Give the code for free... so soon there will be lots of reskins using ASO, burst campaigns etc..... That could be a one awesome way to ruin the initial boost of a "trendy game"

Hi, I'm the coder of Ketchapp's Eyes Cube (not the owner though)

This thread is long dead but I was looking for some references to Eyes Cube and this popped up and now I suddenly feel like

[_SX540_]

but I can tell you for sure that Lemondo Entertainment (the developer of Eyes Cube and the company that I used to work for) did not copy anything. We designed and executed that game from scratch, went through testing and publishing phases with Ketchapp like any other developer. The idea was to design something with similar mechanics to Two Cars, already a successful game of Ketchapp.

Thing is, trivia game publishers get gazzillion game publishing requests per day. Once they choose one or two for publishing most probably there are tons of games in the waiting list with similar mechanics or art. Hell, having the experience I could write that game now in 2 days. And that's what most trivia game developers do - burst-feed their prototypes to the publishers hoping that one will hit the bull's eye.

Anyways, all I wanted to say is - there is no "original" game. All the games are mixes of the mechanics and art styles from some other sources. So it's all right if one game looks like another and it does not mean that it's stolen. And I hope you got your game published.

Cheers,

Nika Kasradze

---------------------------
P.S.

As of today my opinion about game development in general is that - it's shit, it's a very unethical and egotistical way of living off your players' misery. Thinking about how to squeeze in the maximum number of ads before the player rage-uninstalls your game makes me nauseous. Even if you monetize from purchases or put a price on your app or even put it OPEN SOURCE AND FREE, it's unethical. There is no such thing as "moral game development" except the educational games. As long as it's driven by the craving of being "proud developer of [YourGameName]" and not aimed at helping someone it's just a waste of humanities' resources.
