Martin, have you ever made a game like this? Coding it probably wouldn't be too hard. It would take a good bit of graphics assets though. Just thinking this might be a good genre for mobiles, I haven't seen to many of ghese types of games on mobile.

@Mzr - Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is great. Had a play on it a few months ago in an arcade. Love playing retro games in an arcade, its the only way to play [biggrin]

@XdebugX - I've considered making a game like this but I wouldn't release it on mobile. I've played Streets of Rage on iPhone and it was terrible. Screen was too small for a game like this and the virtual controllers were hard to use because there's no physical feedback to know where you are pressing. But making a game like this for console or PC would be cool. I think there's some beat-em-up packs in the unity asset store too.

Mobile controls is why I don't play platformers on mobile or have never made a mobile platformer. The virtual controller takes all the fun out of it. I think for a game like this you might could do a decent hybrid type control. Say have a virtual button for each of the players moves, but instead of moving them with a control pad, just let them click on the screen where they want the player to walk to. Not sure if this would be fun to play this way or not, haven't actually tried it.

@XdebugX - same here. i tried to play some precision platformers on mobile, it just doesnt work. MiniDash is a good example. Great game, but on mobile the controls just dont work. Also Geometry Wars sucks on mobile even though it looks great.
Point and click doesn't sound as fun though, it makes it a very different game type. Also beat em up 2 player / 4 player mode on the same screen is just awesome fun which wouldn't be possible on mobile.
