Hi all, we are 2 developers and we're just starting in gamedev. We've just released our first game called "Maze X - Labyrinth Escape".
Right now it's only available in play store. Here's the link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.PTRPlay.Maze3D

Basically the main goal is to find the way out of the maze before time runs out. With new level the maze is getting bigger and bigger. Currently game has about 15 levels, in the future we think to add auto generated maze. There is game currency which you can use for buying hints for each level.
Speaking of monetizing, we display ads using Admob for interstitial ads (every two levels) and UnityAds with Chartboost for rewarded video ads.

Right now we are not getting any downloads. Even when searching "maze" in Google Play our game isn't discovered.

We'd like to hear any useful advice how to promote the game and what could be done better. Also we are open for reviews exchange.

Updates on revenue and downloads will be posted every week.

Here's couple of photos:

I think that's your main problem. You should probably try changing the name every week or two. It looks people are searching for "3d maze labyrinth" (at least in my country), you could try that for example.

As for the game alone - I'll try to check it out tomorrow when I have some time.

Ok. So I played it, gave it +5.

Really like the menu, it looks great. The game looks nice too.
Now some suggestions:
- I'd change the camera a little bit, it points a little bit too much into the ground I think.
- It was super annoying that I couldn't strafe
- map didn't really help me, because the end wasn't marked on it

It's not very likely you'll generate many downloads from the word 'maze' alone. Competition is way too high for that (says the guy who submitted a similarly named game not too long ago, lol). That said, I searched for your game on searchman.com and you do seem to score well for the word 'levitate'. It might be worth elaborating a little bit more on that in your description.

Thanks, mzr]Ok, for 5 stars and for useful tips. It's really very helpful because we're just getting started. We will update camera angle and controls in future.

Thanks, we are planning to change the name to more competitive one.

Also i changed category from "Adventure" to "Puzzle" although I don't have any idea whether it' s going to help.

searchman.com - didn't know about this service, may be pretty useful. We'll definitely include  'levitate' word into description.

Hi abdur,
basically it was removing some odd files that got compiled (like fonts), creating separate files for x86 and arm processors and compressing textures.

This has some great tips regarding making your build smaller. Especially the part about build log.

Ranking for individual keywords now is super hard. Maybe try to make the main name of the game something unique which has zero results in the store. For example our game called "IQme" is at the top. This is because I tried to create a name which was short, easy to remember so it can be shared, and also has no competition (https://play.google.com/store/search?q=iqme&c=apps).
Then after the main title you can put more popular keywords. For example:

IQme : Brain Training Puzzles

This might work better. But it really depends on the game type and visuals because so far IQme has had very very low downloads.

Hope this helps anyway [smile]
