Its really hard to market your games with low money or no money [smile] . i tried so many things but one thing is really worked for me before i tell you what i did i just want to mention what ways worked for me which gave me little downloads like 50 or if am lucky 200 in 1 week . Look i am talking about my boring game with poor graphics which you dont wanna play ever . Way is simple upload torrent of your game in popular websites like piratebay.com and other torrent sites . Hope u will get good downloads 
Finally what worked for me most is Youtube Marketing i just gave youtuber 30$ and i got 200+ downloads in 4 days i know i have not made 30$ this is working for me . 
I just started competion you will complete my game will earn 20$ and my game is not easy not anyone can complete it but this is really nice way to boost your game .

The best marketing is to make a really good polished game, that has nice graphics and makes a lot of fun [smile]

You already gave out 50$, does your game have expensive in-app purchases + well placed AD´s so you get your money back ?

A very polished game is the minimum and often not enough nowadays.

@jtrencsenyi - yeah I agree. Even if it is a polished game which is good fun is not enough. It needs to have the marketing dollars or good marketing technique for it to be really successful, I don't think there's anyway around it in the world of app stores. To be really successful games need to get in to the top ranks and the only stable repeatable way to do this is to pay big money doing marketing.

If new indie's will focus on polished game and spent time like 2 or 4 months on it then . they only can learn  game development but they will not learn so much in how to make mobile game popular or increase money . Many good game developer dont know how to sell game or make popular i just posted this post from starters point of view . i spent 20$ and my game made 30$ so 10$ profit is not less for student who rely on parents . game is now getting day by day downloads. 


i just created two games and only one game is playable i just spent 2 or 3 days . because i know people are developing so many games but making day to day earnings needs good techniques to make money . lots of forum , app stores even irc channels helped me alot .
