Hello everyone [smile]

I would like to post here my new game that is still in development. I am only one how is developing this game .This game is going to be published on Google Play Store. I am using Unity 3D game engine , Blender for modeling and Photoshop. Game type is Space Shooter. You will need to move your spacecraft left and right and shoot asteroids. I am going to use acceleration Input which means that player will need to "tilt" his phone left and right in order to move spacecraft.

Here is one screenshot of the project

Hi.

I'm making a twin stick shooter and I use the same background ;d.
I'm still working on it though, so it's possible it will be changed in the future.
Anyway - good luck with your game.

@wonker21  - I am using CS5 but I am not sure about the price because I bought it a long time ago [smile]. You should check their site for more info .
@mzr - Well we need to use asset store to make apps quicker , right ?? [smile] I am not sure if I am going to use that background but it stays for now .

hey mbm, nice post. Its cool to see how games look in the editor.

I use Photoshop CC and pay a monthly subscription of about 18 GBP.

By the way, do you guys find the unity asset store very useful? I need to look in to it more and see what we can use to make games faster and better.

Thanks
Martin

Hello Martin sorry for late reply

From time to time I search asset store to see what interesting I can find. There are a lot of really good quality assets out there, and they help me to make game/app more quickly and with better quality... [smile]

Also I am not sure if today but tomorrow I am going to add several screenshots for this space shooter game. The main part of the game is done , only thing that's left are music/sound and scene menu like main menu etc ...

Hey mbm123

Cool game.  I know they are probably not similar at all, but I have a game called asteroid breaker.  (only on google play right now....with about 2 downloads....I've got to work on that)  They are different, but may be inspired by the same love of old classic arcade games.

Guys, i love old classic arcade games.

I really want to open up and old arcade store one day. It probably wouldn't make a lot of money, but it would just be cool. Maybe an arcade-coffee shop hybrid [smile]

People are building fake arcade machines, which are relatively cheap and you can play games through mame on them (they seem to look like normal arcades).

This will be one quick report for the Space Shooter app development....

I have done most things I needed to implement into this app . I worked on this app for 8-9 days , only thing that I need to add is AD network. I am not sure if I should add AdMob or Chartboost , I hadn't registered yet on Chartboost so ...... [smile]
Probably the biggest problem is going to be a name and SEO cause I don't have much experience with SEO on Google Play. Also this game is going to be published only on Google Play for now because I don't have account on Apple or Amazon app store. As i wrote before, this is a Space Shooting game where you move your spaceship by tilting your phone left and right. You will need to destroy every asteroid that comes in your way, if some asteroid passes you it's game over. Player will need to destroy as many asteroids as he can so he will be able to earn more points. Right now there isn't some task system but I think that I should implement that also so players don't uninstall app immediately [smile].
Here are some screenshots of the project and gameplay :

Would you be able to keep game size less than 10MB?

Hey javaexp sorry for late reply, well the game is right now around 12MB. I haven't added any AD network and that will increase size even more.

Even the small games that Martin makes have size more  than 10MB. I think people in tier2 and tier4 countries look at game size before downloading as it costs money for data download. Is it not possible to have unity games less  than 10MB size?

Here's  one quick report about this app [smile]

SEO is good , I think it is cause when I type the name of the app it comes on the first place, but I don't get any downloads. App is stuck with 9 total downloads and that's it .... Do you have some suggestion what to do next ? I am planning to add more features into the game but will that change visibility at all??

Thanks!

Hey Martin, long time ago!

Yes you should check out the asset store, it can save you a lot of work, and if certain things aren't free, most of them are really cheap to buy. Only downside is that free assets probably get used in a lot of apps, so you might not look original. But I don't think it's that big of a deal!
