Hey guys, I just released my new app Robotek Jump Moon Mayhem. It took me about a week to program it in Unity3D. The game is a 2d endless runner type of game. I used pixel art for the graphics and I hope the eyecandy will sell well. As for monetizing, I am using Chartboost interstitials and MoreApps along with Amazon banners and InMobi banners for when there is a low fill on amazon (Sometimes below 30%). Please feel free to try the game out and leave a review. Also if any of the more experienced marketers could give me some pointers on APO and SEO that would be amazing I will also be posting stats about how the monetizing and downloads are going in a few days. hey Epic, awesome, thanks for posting. I always like retro looking games, Im a retro freak lol. 
That'll be great to see some revenue and download stats, please post when ready.

Are you using amazon banners on google play as well, or just inside amazon?
How do you use inmobi at the same time? Are you using an ad mediation service? I'm very curious about inmobi because we might use it soon. Admob worries me.

I think the icon looks pretty cool but i think remove the moon layer at the bottom because this detail won't appear clearly when the icon is seen on a device, it's too small. Also perhaps add some 3D depth to the icon if you can. Here's a video I did on some pixel art techniques:



For SEO, do you have a set of keyword searches you are trying to rank for? Remember to include those words more times in your description as this will help the rank.

By the way, in the original post please could you include some screenshots of the unity project, it'll be interesting to see how you made the scene. For example, is the character moving or is the character still and the scene objects are moving.

Hey Martin,

Yeah i am using InMobi along with amazon banner. Basically how I did it was with the plugin I am using for amazon ads there is some methods like OnBannerLoad () and OnBannerFailed and when it fails I create the InMobi banner and when it loads I destroy the InMobi banner. I am doing this due to my super low amazon fill rate. So no mediator, just some coding. As for InMobi my epcm is not that high and my average cpc is only at about 0.01 but it is pretty good for a back up ad network. BTW i got banned from admob [frown] but I guess it was bond to happen eventually LOL.

How did you get banned? I hear so many people got banned...

They didn't even give me a proper reason just got a email saying your account has been closed for fraudent clicks. Btw i didn't click on any of my ads. This happened when i just started android development and was getting less that a 100 impressions a day. So on day lets say I got 1 click on average. Then one day know one clicks on the ad I think thats what lead to google algorythm banning the account. Now I don't think I can get an other admob account. Also I think the new admob is much stricter and bans accounts much more than the legacy imo. Cause this happened just a bit after I switched.

Wow that sucks. I remember my fist launched app with admob ads, and some of my friends were clicking them on purpose, altho I told them to quit. Didn't get banned... Guess I'm a lucky duck.

@Epic. wow, sorry to hear about the account. That's such a pain and it's why I'm always concerned about using admob / google, and why I praise companies like chartboost. I'm looking for another provider of banner ads on google play and I might go with mopub.com because we can mediate the different networks. Does anyone know a good banner ad network?
We're using amazon banner ads now too, but not iAD in any future games because the revenue is too low.

I think also though you don't need to destroy the banners, you can just have them on top of each other I think. I remember in a test we did we had iAd and Admob ads on top of each other.

@Martin, I would defiantly recommend taking down some traffic from admob. I tried mopub and wasn't too happy with the results. Also the implementation process took me forever. I think InMobi is your best choice when looking for a cpc banner advertiser. Good luck [smile]

Thanks for the advice. i'll check out inmobi.com ads. we might just layer inmobi and admob on top of each other in the game and just disable one or the other from time to time to check the results. The other network we need to test out is airpush.com, i've heard some good things about it. Has anyone tried this one before?

@Martin I heard a lot of people's account's got banned on Google Play by using airpush. It would be very risky using them especially with the new advertising Id coming up and google play tightning its ad policies.

@Epic, thanks for the feedback. For airpush I think we would just apply it for 3rd party app stores like samsung or others. I think they are less strict. Will let you know if we get it running.
