Hi guys, i recently have had an urge to develop a dungeon crawling RPG game on the Android, So i did. I have been working on it for 1 month and 3 days but i am now taking a break for a while because that initial fire has burnt out that i had when i started.

My vision for the game was an endless uncompletable dungeon crawler where you find the boss in that dungeon to go to the next floor and rinse repeat the process. To make it less repetitive i was going to introduce new themes and monsters to the dungeon every 5 floors which would require a different style of play from the player but i have not implemented it yet. Current monsters in the dungeon are Zombies and Banshees. I tried to add skeletons but the 32x32 sprite limit that i set was making it hard to create a skeleton that fitted into the game. I mite have to get someone to do it for me because my art skills suck .

The main feature for the game is the random generation of the dungeon every time you play, this was probably the hardest thing i have done in unity because i didn't use any sort of Algorithm that someone else created, in fact i kind of created my own. It still needs a lot of work but i think it will suffice for now. I plan to add puzzle rooms, traps, walls that separate the corridors from the rooms, doors that can be lock picked and also health/mana/energy fountains. The system im using now is corridors and rooms. When the game starts the Dungeon script places a corridor at 0,0,0 then it either chooses 1,0,0 or maybe 0,-1,0, after it has done this 10 to 12 times it will place either a 3x3 or 4x4 grid of tiles that will be tagged as room. After the the 3-4 rooms have been created, all corridors in the game look through the corridor list and check if there is a tile adjacently north, south, west ,east of that tile, if it returns null then it will place a wall 0.5f units in that direction.

I have learnt alot in this project  and had great fun with it but i kind of rushed some parts of it and now that is putting me off carrying on, maybe i will come back to in the future and re-do everything from scratch with the knowledge i have learnt.

I have placed a little prototype build on Google Play to see how Unity ads plays out, but only one person has downloaded it.

Here is the most updated video of the gameplay:

Hi S3fro, thanks for the post. But please could you update your original post to include some information which other developers will find useful because it just looks like an ad for the game. For example, downloads, revenue, analytics, or perhaps some editor screenshots or how you made the game. Also which ad networks are you using, or are you just selling the premium version.

Thanks
Martin

Sorry Martin, my plan was to add stuff later because at the time of the post there was nothing really to say about it. I will add some more stuff about the game as soon as i can.
