Hello I am a fairly new developer and I was wondering which is better Unity Ads or Chart boost. By better I mean ease of integration and pay. Thanks in advance

I dont think Unity ads even exist, they are still in beta.

Hi guys,

I am currently using unityAds in 3 of my games. the only issue are that intersticials and rewarded videos dont work yet, or at least I have not got them going yet. But there video ads are active.

But I would still recomend Charboost as it has it all, intersticial, video, rewarded vids, plus the option to place frames & other cool features. But on the flip side, unity ads  are such a breeze to work with on the Android side, very easy setup, with no conflicts what so ever with any pluging, jar or manifest.

Just my opinion!

For your first game defiantly chartboost. Unity ads are only video ads which don't let you experiment with different formats and see what works for you. Chartboost will allow you to try static intersials, video intersials, more apps, reward video + custom frames and cross promo.

Also unityads have this weird payout system. Before you even earn any money they need you to give 1000 video impressions so they can "evaluate" the quality of your impressions which will take some time especially for your first app. Chartboost payouts are always earlier than they advertise and prompt.

If you are using unity surprisingly I find chartboost easier to set up than unity ads lol. But I think unity ads will be integrated into unity 5 but overall they are both pretty simple, and if you questions you can always post on the forum.

Hi, Chiming in from UnityAds:

We DO exist, our current crosspromo-offering is in beta.

For monetisation our videos work well (after all we have been running the video ad-network for quite a while before Unity acquired us)

On pictures we are getting there, but obviously videos are our strong point right now.

Again from UnityAds: I'm a bit biased here, so I'm obviously going to say: Go with UnityAds [wink]

The integration with both should be pretty easy.

Our strong points are (not meant to be a comparison to chartboost, but our overall strengths):
 
* Relatively stable payouts (we usually see large deviations from average)
* Ease of integration (Just download the package from asset store, check our examples => should not take you more than 30 minutes to have ads in your game)
* Good fill-rates on video all over the world.


If this is your first game you are starting advertising with, start with whatever is easiest (and UnityAds is really easy [wink]

If your game starts getting traction and you are making significant amount of money through ads, then it is a good idea to start looking at different mediation solutions (MoPub, Fyber) or managed solutions like FusePowered.

But when you are just starting out, IMO it is better to go with single network and learn the ropes with them.
