Hello everybody, like i promised, i bring to you my dev progress of my future game called "Zalvation".


In this case i used a Tile Map ground to find the shortest path, and my first Zombie AI [thumb]

The doors look much better now, thank you;]

I was wondering if lack of strafing is a planned feature to increase difficulty? Or is it just you haven't added it yet?
It seems like a rather natural movement type for top down shooters.

I meant to ask if you plan to add the ability to move sideways (right or left without turning).
I think it would be very useful, it will make the game easier though.

aaaa ok ok, well i've been thinking on that but because it is designed for mobile, i do not know how to put controls [confused]

Yeah, that's tough.
I can think of two common solutions, but both arę rather hard for the users:
- dual stick, one for moving, second one for shooting (and the character would rotate in the same direction that he shoots)
- one stick for going left,right,up, down and shoot where you tap on the screen (and also rotate the character)

The guy on this video is doing a side scroller game, but I like his implementation of straffing. He makes it so that when your shooting instead of turning the character, he moves back and forth while holding down the shoot button. Maybe you could incorporate that technique into your top down game somehow?

OMG!! [thumb] thank you so much for sharing this, i really really appreciate it. Is very interesting how little things can make a game more attractive to others.
